Regarding using ai and writing: I think much can be solved by correctly acknowledging whether and how AI tools have been used.
I sometimes use LLMs as my cohort of personal English secretaries: I let them my write down my thoughts, but then in proper English (English is not my mother tongue).
One could argue that in doing so I will never learn to write for myself, but 1) because I never receive feedback on my writings, I hardly learn writing anyways and 2) I also will never learn to calculate by head when I use my calculator, but no one complains…
