Blast from the Past: Telling the Truth Today

This was published in Focal Point, The Denver Seminary magazine in about 1995. It was before the publication of my book, Truth Decay: Defending Christianity Against the Challenges of Postmodernism (InterVarsity Press, 2000). - Dr. Douglas Groothuis

The bit about this being from 1995 really puts things in perspective. It’s interesting to think how these ideas around postmodernism were already being discussed in detail, when is my saturn return calculator long before it became a mainstream topic. Makes you wonder 6 portrait zone destiny matrix how the conversation has shifted this astrocartography map since then, or if we're just circling back to the same core debates.

A timely reminder, Dr. Groothuis. 'Telling the truth' has indeed become a counter-cultural act in our age of late-modernity. Engaging with these deep philosophical reflections always requires a lot of mental heavy lifting. I’ve found that taking a brief 'cognitive fast' with some simple challenges on minigame helps me clear my head before returning to these profound truths. Thank you for your continued faithfulness to the word.

Thanks for sharing this blast from the past! It's interesting to see how your ideas on truth and postmodernism evolved before your book was published. A great reminder of the importance of defending truth today.astrocarto
