A Look at my Books

By Douglas Groothuis, PhD

If John Frame and William Lane Craig can do it, then I can do it. The author book stack in chronological order (bottom to top) for the English books. On the right are my books published in English, without Truth Decay (IVP, 2000). I think it is at my office. There are twenty books. Three more are on the way. At the left are sundry translations of several of my books.

Christian Apologetics, 2nd edition (InterVarsity, 2022) is an update of the 2011 volume, containing eight new chapters. Jesus in an Age of Controversy (Harvest House, 1996) is an update of Revealing the New Age Jesus (InterVarsity, 1990), with lots of new material. Beyond the Wager (InterVarsity, 2024) is a substantial update of On Pascal (Wadsworth, 2003). I have not shown a book I co-edited, In Defense of Natural Theology (InterVarsity, 2006) or books to which I contributed chapters or entries. There are too many to remember. I'd have to check my CV.

None of my booklets are shown: The New Age Movement (InterVarsity, 1986), New Age, New Life (CBN Publishing, 1990), The New Age Jesus (InterVarsity, 1992), Are All Religions One? (InterVarsity, 1996), and A World of Religions (Ratio Christi, 2024). A few of the booklets have been translated into other languages, too.

It’s always interesting to see authors share their books because every story usually reflects a different experience or perspective. I think readers connect more when writers explain the inspiration behind their work instead of only promoting it. Building that connection really matters today. I’ve also noticed many new writers discussing publishing options lately, especially when researching book publishing companies in texas to better understand how regional publishers support independent authors and local storytelling communities.

A Look at my Books sounds like a nice personal reflection topic, especially if it shares how reading habits or favourite genres have changed over time. I think looking back at books you’ve read can really show personal growth and interests. It also encourages others to share their own recommendations, which makes it more engaging. On a similar note, students sometimes feel pressure with technical studies and search for a Programming Assignment Writing Service UK, but steady practice and guidance usually help more.
